REBC and Kingfisher were proud to help kick-off the start of the Hed Kandi tour of Thailand! This proved to be the biggest house party night of the year in Phuket and a fantastic time was had by everyone!

F1 Race Night @ Kamala Mountainview

Kingfisher Premium Lager Beer was proud to sponsor the first ever Kingfisher F1 Race night at Kamala Mountainview Bar and Restaurant at Kamala Beach. We had a fantastic crowd turnout to watch the F1 action at Nurburgring... stayed tuned for the next great event at this fantastic venue!

Costume Party @ Watermark

A one of a kind party over looking the Phuket Boat Lagoon, at Watermark, winner of Thai Best Restaurant and host to the most unique parties in Phuket.

There were prizes for the five best costumes, the DJ was spinning the decks all night and Watermark award-winning restaurant was serving a delectable set menu, including a limited 20 seat dinner for anyone who wants to do things in serious style. Kingfisher was there in full force with our beautiful Kingfisher ladies stocking the Kingfisher bar. The party was a blast! Stay tuned for the next one!

Clean Phuket: Beach Cleanup & Charity Auction

The Keep Phuket Clean effort saw excellent progress being achieved in new areas around the island. The fishing village on the south end of Bangtao which has been dramatically cleaned up with the support of the staff at the Amanpuri, will post signage and promote itself as the Bangtao Fish market the west coast’s only fresh daily fish market. Royal Eastern Beverage was proud to support the event both in manpower and in the supply of Veritas water to all the hard-working voluteers! A charity auction, sponsored by Kingfisher Premium and Chateau des Chaberts wines was held after the cleanup, with all proceeds going to local charity organizations.

Liquid Lounge (Kingfisher 2-4-1 nights)

We have hosted 4 monthly Kingfisher nights at the Liquid Lounge Bar on Surin Beach. These night consist of a special promotion on Kingfisher between 6pm-10:30 pm - buy 2 get one free on beer and Lindeman's wines. This has been a great success and our very own Kingfisher girls draw in the crowds and assist with the promotion. This event brings out the trendy local community in Phuket as well as the passing by tourist who cannot resist dropping in for a cold Kingfisher beer!

Kingfisher Volleyball Tournament @ Laem Singh

Kingfisher has partnered up with the minds behind the Soundwave Sunday parties at Laem Singh beach to launch our Kingfisher Volleyball tournament – beach volleyball played in pick-up format. Every Sunday from 3pm to sundown, we have special promotions on Kingfisher Premium Lager and give awayweekly prizes to the winners. ESPN STAR SPORTS, Charity Golf 2008 and 2009

Kingfisher (REBC), for the second year running, was proud to be Co-Sponsor for this very worthy charitable event. You have all watched these charming TV presenters in various shows broadcast on ESPN STAR Sports – most notably: “Football Focus with John Dykes”, “Nokia's Football Crazy”, “Score Tonight” and of course ESPN Sports Center broadcasted daily around Asia. Kingfisher was the official co-sponsor as well as the exclusive beer supplier for this entire event. This charity weekend is always a great time for everyone involved; the ESPN team provides everyone a fun filled two days with the stars as they never lose sight of their reason for being here. In 2008 we raised over THB 750,000 in aid of the Ban Klongsai School (Phang-nga) and this year we were able to donate THB 400,000 in aid of the Special Olymypics Thailand.

Le Meriden 9th Annual Golf Tournament

At the Le Meriden 9th Annual Golf Tournament, Kingfisher Premium Lager was the official beer sponsor of the weekend with beer being served at all the events from the golf course, to the dinner party. We were also able to secure an exclusive Kingfisher bar that was present at closing dinner party and had a really funky twist. As sponsors, REBC's Managing Director and Marketing Manager were called upon to present awards to the tournament's winners.

Mulligan's Golf 10th Anniversary Golf Tourney

This event was held at the Blue Canyon Golf Club and Kingfisher sponsored two holes of this event in the form of donation and prize giveaway. Kingfisher was also the highlight of the various kiosks around the Blue Canyon Lakes, and Canyon courses.

Phuket International Blues Rock Festival 2009

The fourth annual Phuket International Blues Rock Festival took place at the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort and Spa over the weekend of February 20th. While past events have suffered from uncooperative weather and caused some set-backs and delays in the planning process, this year the weather remained clear throughout both days of the festival. This non-profit event draws large crowds, with profits being donated to the Phuket International Women's Club - a non-profit organization offering educational scholarships to local children, having so far helped more than 500 of Phuket's best and brightest with education through university.

This year Kingfisher Premium Lager was proud to partner with the festival, acting as a title sponsor and the official beer sponsor for the event. In an attempt to add to this already exciting music extravaganza, Kingfisher put a new twist on the event by starting the very first red carpet fashion photo shoot which was a great success with our lovely Kingfisher divas. In addition there was a beer marquee conveniently located on the grounds that exclusively served Kingfisher and gave people the chance to get fitted up with cool Kingfisher gear!

The musical line-up was fantastic, with excellent performances by Mitch Woods & his Rocket 88s, Rich Harper Blues Band, The Blues Machine and of course Eric Bibb.

Phuket Soccer 7's 2008

Kingfisher was a co-sponsor and beer supplier for this event and had a large presence at the venue, the Phuket International FIFA training center. We had a beer marquee where international teams relaxed in the shade while waiting for their kick offs to start.

Phang Nga Bay Regatta

On January 27th 2009, Kingfisher Premium became the official beer and good times partner of the Phang Nga Bay Regatta. It was a privilege to be part of this reputable event and even more special to have Kingfisher Premium as the exclusive beer sponsor.

The Phang Nga Bay Regatta is the most popular race in Asia in part because it has unique elements that many regattas don't have, such as the diverse landscape scenery the course follows and also the great party atmosphere that sometimes tends to take the driver's seat.

Kingfisher sponsored the second leg of the 12th Annual PNB Regatta and hosted that night's party and trophy presentation ceremony at Koh Yao Paradise Resort. This was an evening of good times and festivities with Indian food courtesy of Kargo Restaurant and of course our world famous Indian beer – Kingfisher Premium Lager.

Phuket Airpark Fly-In

Phuket's first private airport was open early this year and got off to a flying start with a three day celebration to mark the opening. 10 small planes and one very large hot air balloon gave free rides to local children most of whom have never sat in an aircraft before. The weekend was comprised of a fair-like atmosphere with food, drinks and handicraft vendors working stalls on the grounds. There was a prize giving ceremony followed by a local rock band that got all spectators jumping up in the air for two hours. This Event was organized by the Airpark management and co-sponsored by Kingfisher Premium Lager.

Kingfisher Island Cricket Club

The Kingfisher brand has taken a very strategic move at the start of 2009 by sponsoring the ICC cricket team who participate in the Island Furniture Cricket League. This league is comprised of five teams all with international players residing in Phuket and other provinces of Thailand.

The ICC are the current champions from the previous 2008 season and are not showing any signs of giving away the trophy this year with five wins in five matches. This record should see them comfortably to the top where they will face their rivals.

The Miracles of Ganesha Exhibition

The Artist behind these amazing new renditions of the mythical Hindu god Ganesha, is Mr. Veerachan Usahanun, a local Thai artist originally from Bangkok. His career as an artist has also taken him to Austria and Germany and now recently he has based himself on the beautiful island of Phuket.

Khun Veerachan is a straightforward and engaging man who will hide nothing from you and these same traits translate to his contemporary paintings. Kingfisher was very excited to support the Ganesha exhibition - his Indian-themed art combined with his warm heart made a great fit and we were happy to have him as an ambassador of our brand. We have sponsored his art gallery and continue to support his cause.

On this auspicious day, Kingfisher assisted in hosting the official grand opening of the Ganesha art gallery in Phuket. The evening was one that exuded stature and class. Besides the great food, wine and beer, there was also a speech by the President of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Governor of Phuket.

Supercar Asian Series – Bangsaen Circuit
(Turn One Motorsports)

On the weekend of November 7th, 2008, Royal Eastern Beverage Company sponsored the Turn One Motorsports race team at the Bangsaen Speed Festival 2008. Mr. Ricardo Proost drove his turbo charged Porsche GT around the Bangsaen street circuit to finish first over all in his class.

It was a weekend of speed with an estimated turnout of 200,000 fans who packed the grandstands armed with snacks and cold beers.

Royal Eastern Beverage Company used their Flagship brand, Kingfisher Premium, to co-brand and sponsor the team and its car. Kingfisher premium made a strong presence on the race circuit with a mechanical riding bull in the Kingfisher tent that raised money for charity as well staging a parade that featured our glamorous Kingfisher race girls.

The event was great exposure for the Kingfisher Premium brand as it gave thousands of spectators a chance to sample India's # 1 selling beer. The response received was overwhelming and gives us good prospect to expand the brand over Thailand.
